PBS Podcast Episode 1: Lord Hurd of Westwell

Lord Hurd of Westwell has been a long-time supporter of the Prayer Book and of the PBS. During his 16 years as a Member of Parliament, serving in Margaret Thatcher's and John Major's governments, Douglas Hurd rose to become both Home Secretary and Foreign Secretary.

In this episode Lord Hurd reads a prayer from Morning Prayer, and explains to us how the Prayer Book continues to influence him today.

Presented By James Poulter. (www.exodusmedia.co.uk)

PBS Podcast Episode 2: Frank Field MP

In this episode Frank Field MP reads for us the Stir Up Sunday Collect, and explains how he sees the Prayer Book as not only a historical piece to be treasured, but a great resource of modern liturgy for today's church.

Frank Field is the Labour MP for Birkenhead, where he has served for nearly 30 years. During his time as a member of the House, he has served as Minister for Welfare Reform in Tony Blair's first cabinet. Outside of Parliament he is equally busy, in 2007 taking on the Chairmanship of the 2011 Trust which has been established to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the Authorised Version (King James Version) of the Bible.

Presented By James Poulter. (www.exodusmedia.co.uk)
