Date:14th February 2018

Location:St Botolph’s Church, Lullingstone, Kent, DA4 0HY

Rev Dorothy McGarvey, a branch member, will conduct Morning Prayer followed by the Litany and Commination; the services directed by the Prayer Book for use on Ash Wednesday.
The Litany is rarely heard and even less “A Commination or Denouncing of God Anger and Judgements against Sinners” and all PBS members will be welcome to join the congregation for the said service. There will be no music in keeping with the penitential season.

As it will be Lent, no refreshments will be offered after the service but for any who have not visited the church before, a guided tour of the church will be available.

To find St Botolph’s, turn off the main road in the centre of Eynsford, opposite St Martin’s Church, crossing the river by the stone bridge. Follow the lane under a splendid viaduct, past Lullingstone Roman Villa, until you reach the Tudor gatehouse of Lullingstone Castle. For Satnav use post code DA4 0HY.
