Location:St Peter and St Paul’s church, High St, Farningham, Kent, DA4 0DG

On Sunday 22nd April, at 2pm we will be meeting for a guided tour of St Peter and St Paul’s church, Farningham. The earliest part of the church, built in the Early English period around 1240, is the chancel. From this a plain pointed arch leads into the 13th – 14th century nave which is 9ft wider. The tower at the west end was added about a century later. The church boasts a 15th century Seven Sacraments font, a monument to Antony Roper, the grandson of Sir Thomas More, and his family, a mausoleum believed to have been designed by John Nash and a glorious west window celebrating the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.  Light refreshments will be served after the tour followed at 4pm by Evensong for the eve of St George’s Day.

If you wish to join the tour and refreshments, please inform the Secretaries, Mr and Mrs G E Comer on 01732 461462 or e-mail

There are no parking spaces at the church and parking is along the High Street. High St, Farningham, DA4 0DG
