Mattins with Holy Communion at Beauchief Abbey

Date:27th October 2019

Location:Beauchief Abbey Lane, Sheffield S8 7BD

Beauchief Abbey, a corporate member of the Prayer Book Society, is holding a special service for the Society on 27th October 2019, combining Mattins and Holy Communion (BCP).  We are hoping that members from nearby Branches, which may be no longer active, will be  tempted to visit what is said to be the oldest building in Sheffield, consisting of the surviving 12th century tower with a 17th century chapel built onto it.  After the service there will be a short talk on the history and present-day role of the Abbey, with hot drinks and a sandwich lunch to follow.

Please let us know by Thursday 24th October if you intend to come, by email to (Dr Littlewood, Sheffield Branch Secretary) or by telephone to 0114 2353263 (Mrs Hodgson. Beauchief Abbey Committee).

There is plenty of parking space along Beauchief Abbey Lane.
