The Trust Fund was Miss Edith Matthias’s millennium gift to the Society. It enables cash-strapped Church of England parishes and other CofE organisations to obtain BCPs to maintain or reintroduce Prayer Book worship.
Applicants for grants are usually asked to make a contribution towards the cost of their books, according to their financial resources; the Trustees believe this helps to cement a commitment to use the books.
The Trust is overseen by a Convener of the Trustees, Iain Milne and two other trustees Jonathan Baldwin and the Revd Dr Mark Hart.
Since its inception the fund has made 165 grants.
