St John the Evangelist in Groombridge was built in 1625. It is celebrating its 400th anniversary with a Service of Thanksgiving conducted by the Bishop of Tonbridge.
Celebrations continue in the afternoon with Morris dancing at 1.30pm on the Green opposite the church.
Lunches can be booked at Crown Inn opposite the church or picnic on the Green.
St John the Evangelist church is on the B2110, Groombridge Hill, on the north side of Groombridge village. Use TN3 9QH for Satnav. Please do not try to park outside the church, as it is a busy road but park around the village green or, if you are lunching at the Crown Inn, it has a small car park.
