The Commemoration of the Martydom of Thomas Cranmer takes place on Tuesday 21 March 2023.

11.00 a.m. Choral Mattins at the University Church of St Mary the Virgin, the High Street, Oxford

Led by Canon Will Lamb, Vicar of St Mary the Virgin, & the Revd Richard Smail, Chaplain to the Oxford Branch of the PBS.

The preacher will be the Revd Tom Sander, Rector of St Giles in the Fields, London.

Followed by a procession to the martyrdom site in Broad Street and wreath-laying on the Martyrs’ Memorial.

12.30p.m. Lunch (Pre booked - Tickets on sale below)

2.00 Lecture - The Many Purposes of the Book of Common Prayer - Professor Alec Ryrie, Professor of the History of Christianity at Durham University.

3.30p.m. Said Evening Prayer
