"The Prayer Book, High and Low"
A Discussion with Mark Smith and Cally Hammond
In an age of immense internal diversity - and sometimes discord - within the Church of England, can the Book of Common Prayer help to bring unity?
This event will seek to explore what different traditions of churchmanship in the Church of England find of particular value in the Book of Common Prayer, and what elements of Cranmer's majestic liturgy might unite Anglicans of different traditions today. Mark Smith, Dean of Clare College Cambridge, will give the evangelical, low church perspective, and Cally Hammond, Dean of Gonville and Caius college, Cambridge, will speak from the Anglo-Catholic, high church point of view. There will then be room for questions and discussion.
All welcome, sherry and cake will be available afterwards.
