Over a hundred members of the Prayer Book Society and dignitries from Northampton marked the 70th anniversary of Her Majesty's Accession to the Throne on Sunday 6 February.
All Saints' Northampton was the venue for this very special afternoon.
The Chaplain to the Queen, Canon Bruce Ruddock delivered the sermon during an Accession Day Choral Evensong. This was preceeded by a lecture given by the Revd Paul Thomas of St James' Sussex Gardens Paddington, entitled "Cheeful Obedience: The Accession Service and the vocation of Christian Monarchy. You can listen to both.
The celebration was the first to mark the 50th anniversary of the Prayer Book Society.
