Following Mattins and the Litany the pilgrims spent the day visiting the biblical sites of Galilee. At Capernaum, the home of five of the apostles, we saw the foundations of the synagogue, which Our Lord would have known.

At Tabgha, we saw the church which commorates the resurrection appearance of the Lord at the Sea of Galilee. We celebrated Holy Communion near the Church of the Loaves and the Fishes, which commemorates the feeding of the thousands. We sang Easter hymns, and read the Easter Anthems from the Prayer Book.

The morning concluded with lunch on the Mount of the Beatitudes, which provided an opportunity for us to try St Peter's fish. We then visited the church dedicated in honour of the Beatitudes, and sang the hymn 'Blest are the pure in heart'.

In the afternoon we took a boat trip out to the centre of the Sea of Galilee, which included a demonstration of fishing techniques from the time of Christ. As the boat returned, we sang 'Dear Lord and Father of mankind' and offered prayers.
